Barcelona academy director Patrick Kluivert fears that re-signing Neymar would hurt Ansu Fati. Barca were very close to bringing the skiller himself back to Camp Nou this summer, before negotiations with PSG (Paris Saint Germain). It was about broken down PSG over payment structures. The director believes the club must prioritize their academy ethos instead of multi-million euro transfers.

We all know the trio of the old Barcelona Suarez, Neymar, and Messi. These three would demolish every defense that stood in their way of scoring. The director stated “You never know, but as you’ve seen, its not easy to sign Neymar.” He then follows up saying “For two reasons: Qatar, and also the fact that if you bring in Neymar, you slow down some players that are already at the club.” This may be true, but the trio coming back together could benefit Barcelona. It might be a bad decision because of the cost of Neymar is very high. Being one of the most paid players in the world.

“This is a decision that must be made internally. If you bring him in, he’s a great player. But Ansu Fati, who plays the same role, you put the brakes on him, or other players,” states Patrick Kluivert. It really all comes down to the decision to buy him or not. The trio could come back together and finish what they started since the beginning of Barcelona. I personally think they shouldn’t due to the fact him, Cavani, and Mbappe are doing a great performance in PSG.
