I played for Illinois Fooball Club U16 showcase and Arcola Rec U19 team in the same tournament. This tournament was called the USA Cup in Blaine, Minnesota. It was a week long and keep in mind that I played for two teams. Everyday I played around 1-2 games with both 45 minute half’s. I started for both teams as a midfielder and winger. Throughout the day I constantly had cramps and my body ached.

In the start of this tournament I felt great and had the mindset to win. Within the first two games played on Monday, I felt great and performed well. Later throughout the day we spent some quality time with family and our teammates. The upcoming day I was getting prepared to play three games, but I regretted my decision for playing on two teams. I started cramping up and had terrible body aches. Every morning I would wake up with a head ache and not feeling well. As the days passed and more games came up, I started cramping in game. I started performing poorly and always felt like a drag to the team. My mindset decreased on how to push myself to get better.
I took an ice bath to soothe my sore muscles and it worked slightly. The next day when I played a game my muscles just wanted to fully shut down. My mind was physically not in the game or in me. I felt droopy and was constantly having the need to sleep. I was physically exhausted and my attitude was terrible. I wanted to shut down and sleep for as long as possible. This was my experience in playing a huge tournament with two teams. I would recommend to just choose one team and push yourself to be as great as humanly possible.
